How to Install VIP Algos Indicators on MetaTrader 4 & 5
Install your VIP Algos trading indicator in MetaTrader 4 (MT4) or MetaTrader 5 (MT5) with this simple desktop walkthrough. Download the right indicator file, place it in MetaTrader’s Indicators folder and add it to your chart.

Before starting, open your VIP Algos Welcome page and download the version for your platform. MT4 uses .ex4 files and MT5 uses .ex5 files. Custom indicators must be installed in the MetaTrader desktop application, not the mobile app.

How to Add Custom Indicators to MT4 or MT5

- 01 / DOWNLOAD
Get the correct indicator file
On your VIP Algos Welcome page, choose MT4 Download or MT5 Download. Use the .ex4 file for MT4 or the .ex5 file for MT5.
- 02 / INSTALL
Copy the file into MetaTrader
In the desktop app, select File → Open Data Folder. Paste your indicator into MQL4 → Indicators or MQL5 → Indicators, depending on the platform.
- 03 / LAUNCH
Restart and apply it to a chart
Completely close and reopen MetaTrader. In Navigator → Indicators, locate your VIP Algos indicator and double-click or drag it onto a chart.

Which indicator file should I download for MT4 or MT5?
Choose the button for your purchased platform on the VIP Algos Welcome page. MetaTrader 4 uses .ex4 files, while MetaTrader 5 uses .ex5 files. They are not interchangeable.
Where do I put the downloaded indicator file?
In MetaTrader on your computer, click File → Open Data Folder. For MT4, open MQL4 → Indicators; for MT5, open MQL5 → Indicators. Paste the downloaded .ex4 or .ex5 file there and restart the platform.
Why can’t I see my indicator in MetaTrader Navigator?
Check that you used the correct MT4 or MT5 file and copied it into the matching Indicators folder. Fully exit and reopen MetaTrader, then look under Navigator → Indicators. You can open Navigator through View → Navigator.
Can I install an MT4 or MT5 indicator on my phone?
No. MetaTrader mobile apps do not support installing these custom indicator files. Use the MT4 or MT5 desktop application. For chart indicators on mobile, explore our TradingView indicator collection.
